Request of a "Latino Sub Forum" in the Off Topic

On behalf of the Latino Coailiton Of SOHH Posters http://forums.projectcovo.com/showthread.php?t=1913591 We would like to request having our own sub forum in the Off Topic . This sub forum would be a forum dedicated to the promotion of latino hiphop music and culture as well as other forms of latino music and lifestyle which has had a great influence in hiphop. This is a geunine request as we are trying to get ourself organized http://forums.projectcovo.com/showthread.php?t=1915981 .We feel that this is a fair request and are open to any suggestion by the mods/owners of SOHH on ways that we can make this work.

the site admins discussed this as a possibility, but at this time we don't think it's going to happen. the main reason is because if we create this forum, we will become overwhelmed with requests (requests that would be perfectly valid, if we created a subforum for 1 group of people) for race/ethnicity-specific forums... and at this time we don't have the traffic to necessitate the addition of new subforums of this kind.

The L.P.C would like to thank you for taking time to consider our request and understand the position this might put SOHH mods and admin in as far as request from other ethnic groups go. With that said one of the L.P.C's members made a good point which i think should be brought to the table

Well I don't think there's any other group that has the strength in numbers like we do. I guess white people but they won't ask for their own forum because they are ashamed of their whiteness. And blacks are the majority here, this is their forum. So what other groups is she talking about? Women? They have their own forum. There are more Latinos here than women, most of the people who post in the Ladies room are men

Again please don't take this message the wrong way it was just a valid point that was brought up by a poster and we understand that the final decision is made by SOHH administration.

i understand what that poster is saying. however, i still feel that we'd get more groups of people wanting their own subforum too.. in spite of what anyone thinks. like i said, it's not altogether out of the question, but idk about it happening immediately, or any time soon. who knows what could happen, though. :)
