First Soulja Boy did it with the Superman and now you have everyone making up there own dance from the Cupid Shuffle to the Stanky Leg and even the Ricky Bobby. For the most part those dances came from southern artists trying to make a break into the record industry with a catchy track with hopes you would remember their name at the end of the day.
Now it seems that some of our beloved hip hop vets are starting to join the trend like Busta Rhymes with Arab Money and most recently Diddy with the Diddy Bop (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K2PONHLS (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K2PONHLS)). These records are hot but are they hot because there is a dance you can do in the club or because they are hot tracks. I'm curious to see what you think...

its too frequent
once in a while is good, but it is an overload, and these types of songs are becoming flashes, not phases or trends. they are annoying, and not even catchy anymore. these "artists" know that all you need is a beat you can snap to, and some crazy ass dance and you got it. the bright side is they come and go, and you never really hear from the "artists" again

I can't respect any of it after Lean Back. That track was lyrically on point, hot beat (non-regional) And technically, the hardest dance to pickup.
