Yeah the album is good.

Sort of like Junior Boys crossed with Daft Punk, if they both couldn't afford any equipment made within the last 2 decades or any studio time.

Whoa i can't believe these dudes were actually mentioned in here!? Ionno about that comparison, though. These guys are more like acid lo-fi. Mind Drips + Deadbeat Summer + Should Have Done Acid With You = rediculous EP.

I was meaning more the sort of dead pan, almost spoken word vocals of Junior Boys and the overall tone of some songs. With Daft Punk circa Discovery type production flashes.

There isn't really anything that sounds like it though. But I think anybody that likes any element of the above bands will like this.

I think the gist of glo-fi is that these bands are recasting music they used to listen to in the 80s into tape/lo-fi form. So all the music has a nostalgic feel, and the lo-fi recording gives it a real grit. This pitchfork review of the Washed Out album gives a bit more info about the burgeoning movement:
