Anybody ever gon through this? Its nothing out right now that makes me really just want to produce hip-hop. Im worn out by hip-hop. Ima start producing different genres like r&b, pop, and soft rock. And when I produce, I notice I gravitate towards more r&b and pop melodies than I do hip-hop melodies. I was listening to 808's And Heartbreaks the other day and I was inspired. I just 'feel' that music more than I do hip-hop right now. I havent truly enjoyed making hip-hop lately, but I feel obliged to, well I 'felt' obliged to. I dont care no more, Im just gon start making music I truly enjoy and build off of that. Also its a challenge to me and good change of pace. Does anybody know the market for R&B/Pop producers?

I was feelin this exact same way during the last few months. There just seemed to be no good music comin from any region. All of it felt uninspired and forced, leaving me uninspired in a way. I even stopped makin beats for a minute and started focusing on other things. I can't live without music so I started lookin around for somethin else. I began listenin to other sh1t like rock, and all kinds of rock (even stuff I couldn't see myself listenin to beforehand). I just wanted to hear something different, and I think that has helped me in a way cuz I feel more open to all kinds of genres. Lately I've been listenin to more hip hop than I have in months, mostly mixtapes and a few albums that just dropped. The quality is still not as good, but it's gettin better slowly (I hope). I just gotta take it for what it is unfortunately.

There's so much great music out there... So start with whatever inspires you most, regardless if that's rock, rap or electro. Looking forward to hearing some of your next drops. :dj:
