Shoes - 1 (black for weddings/funerals)
Sneakers - Around 35 (About 20 high quality pairs in boxes, another 10 or so I wear on the regular, about 5 I beat the shyt out of rainy days, gym etc)

I have about 30 pairs in regular rotation, and I have about 50-70 ( I lost count) in between my closet, my mother's house, and in storage collecting dust next to my comic book collection. Back in the day I used to try and flex and line all my shoes up on the wall in my bedroom, but I found that intimidated some chicks that I bought over, so I started keeping them in the closet. I live by myself and I got a 2 BD apartment just for the extra closet space.

I mean really...I still got shoes I bought in high school that are in very good condition and I still wear them...and I'll be 25 next month. It's not like I bought all my pairs at once. If you take care of your sh1t and don't run them into the ground the shoes will pile up over time.

It sounds like you and I are in the same boat, Im 24 and some of the shoes in my collection I have had since college. I just always took car of my shoes, and still do to this day. I was hooping the other day in my black & blue #1 retro Jordans, and this cat asked me where I got them at. I told him I honestly couldn't remember because it was literally 8 years ago, he thought I was lying and I just didnt want to tell him. Most of my shoes look almost brand new regardless of what year I bought them, and thats cuz I value them and I know what cleaning products do what on certain fabrics/materials. I love to hit the mall and cop some new sh1t, but it's not like I go on shopping sprees every week or some sh1t like that. I'm just a clothes horse and I take care of what I have

I used to feel the same way I used to skate a lot so I would just wear my skate shoes

but I also used to just used to keep a pair of all white or all black air forces to rock with whatever I wore so I atleast wasnt walking around with raggedy shoes

Got 1 pair of solid black dress shoes for any formal occasion

Like 8 pairs of Air Force Ones, my favorite shoes. All low-top, mostly is in easy to match colors (various mixed of red, black, blue, white, grey,). Try not to get something out there like yellow & orange cause that sh1t would match with like one outfit.

1 pair of basketball shoes.

2 pairs of running shoes.
