Question about 2002 Sebring

Okay my buddy owed me some money. He gave me his 2002 Sebring as payment. The engine is fubar though. I hear Sebrings have bad engine probs. What I need to know is there a different engine I can put in there that won't give me all these probs?

Or should I just sell the car?

I was gonna end up giving it to my moms but I'm not gonna put the same type of engine in there and have it get messed up again. Rather save myself the headache if possible.

No probs from the Aspen yet. But yeah ze Sebring is gone. Got 900 for it with no engine.

Chrysler couldn't find a transmission for YEARS. My step-brother's van is an early 2000 model and is on their 4th transmission. They keep getting warrantied.
