First off I ain't nowhere near huge, I'm 5'9" 170 lbs 12% BF after 1 year of working out, and I would consider myself slightly above average in the gym.

Anyway

I finally got around to copping a dipping belt, and was doing dips with a 45 lbs plate (again, nothing special imo), and I heard these two kids next to me talking about me. One guy said "damn he's strong" and the other kid said "he's probably on roids"

I was like :headphone :hmm: :) nope, no roids but thanks

This is why I'll never use steroids, I don't believe in all that propaganda bs and believe in proper usage = no harm, but getting accused of roids is such a nice ego boost

the average dude can't wrap his mind around what hard work and dedication can really accomplish, as far as dips go though I saw a dude roughly 5'6 lookin about 190 put 4 45's on and do it for reps.....Im thinkin he was on roids but who knows maybe he just really is a beast with legitimately bad back and facial acne

the dudes on roids are usually the ones who would get angry in a situation like that. :grrr: "i ain't on no juice!!!" as their veins swell up and their backne puss squirts all over the bench and mirror. guys like you who laugh it off typically aren't members of the guilty party.

yeah i get that. for some reason people like to stare at me when i do dips, and arnold presses. i do dips with 90lbs and i weigh about 190lbs...i do arnold presses w/ 85lb dbs. i always get the, "dude what kinda supplements do you take?" after i say creatine and protein they look at me dumb for a couple seconds and then say, "uhh..anything else?" nah niigga. although i will use some stronger shiit in the near future.

:hmm:

Arnold presses on 85lb dbs, you sure? I find it incredibly taxing to shoulder press that much weight let alone swivel it in front of me.

thats probably why they stare. i crank out 4 reps, 2 sets at that weight. for whatever reason i even db press more than i can barbell press. my shoulder press is around 160 for similar reps.

That usually happens every time I go home and see somebody I went to high school with. I was a good size in high school because of football, but I really hit a growth spurt once I graduated.
