I'm really, really sick of iTunes starting up & effing w/my library.

Cover Art disappearing, albums assigning themselves genres, etc. I've got the settings on manual & this program is still f*cking it all up.

My sh*t is super organized to be able to just grab an album for the iPod, & this sh*t is killing me. The podcast subscriptions & display is dope, but the meat & potatoes of KEEPING your library organized is not good. Bugs galore. The thing is, about three months ago i deleted everything i had to just start fresh, so i don't have that much on here anymore (about 400 albums).

If i had a big collection & this was happening i'd be LONG gone by now, so i'm nipping this in the bud & switching now. I'll be using iTunes for Podcats & loading albums onto the iPod, but in terms of everyday listening i've had enough of this nuisance program.

Foobar2000 is just too basic (i need album art display), & i can't stand Media Player. Do you guys have any recommendations? I also will not use WinAmp... just looks ugly.

What features goes WMP have, though?

I'll search around for snapshots of it & consider it if it has great functionality.

...oh & for the record, i'll switch OS's if i have to. This is of uber-importance to me. Anyone who hooks me up with a dope break-down gets a link to the Doom album if they want it, lol. I'm on Vista but will switch to Apple OS, Ubuntu, Windows 7 or whatever. I really don't care.

I use Banshee in Ubuntu. Screenie for informational purposes: http://overtag.dk/wordpress/img/Screenshot-Banshee%20Media%20Player.png

Its loaded with stuff. MP3 player support, album art, Recommneded Artists, last.fm, and moreso. I like its nice GUI and simplicity. Haven't had any problems myself.
