Yo I have some protein and creatine that I bought back in mid 2007... everytime I make a shake now it tastes strange as ****. Is it a matter of age or have I just lost the taste for it?
Also would you recommend protein bars or should I stick with powder? I used to get these protein+creatine bars from CVS back in the day but I can't find them anymore. They really worked though, and were way more edible than the shakes I make now

train your palette to accept the taste.
you get more for your money with powders, so thats what i use. protein bars are like a dollar per bar and only have like 15g of protein in them (from what ive seen). i pay like 20 cents for that much protein with shakes.

maybe try to ad fruits and milk to your shakes. just add the number of calories, and adjust the rest of your meals accordingly.

Creatine powders last for a long time. I use Universal Storm, its cheap and tastes decent (fruit punch). Before that I used, Controlled Labs Green Magnitude (mmm green apple). If powders don't fit your fancy, there are pills you can take.

Aftermax by Optimum Nutrition. It has 40g protein, 40g carbs, 5g creatine & 5g glutamine. I use the double rich chocolate flavor, it tastes amazing with just water. i was mixing it with 1% choc milk, but switched to water cause it saved me about 300-400 cals per serving.

Spend a few extra dollars and pick up some MHP Dark Matter or Universal Torrents. I don't know what you are trying to spend, goals or routine. IF you are doing pre/post workout. MHP Dark Rage($40) and Dark Matter ($37) is a good combo or Universal Shock Therapy ($31) and Universal Torrents ($57). EST MethylMass ($49) and MuscleTech Anator P70 is a good stack but the MethylMass has a mild non Methylated PH in it so be aware. If you are on a 2 or 3 hour meal/protein schedule grab a bottle of Gaspari IntraPro (A bit pricey over $1 per serving but worth every penny) Gaspari MyoFusion ( a bit lower quality then IntraPro IMO, but a lot bigger bang for the buck $38 for 63 servings) or L.G. Lipotropic Protein, the taste is funky at first but it grows on you, its very effective and 69 servings for $29 is great, Spend $60 get two tubs and take care of your protein needs for the whole month.
