because women dont know anything about rap music maybe for other genres they could produce music (though i highly doubt it) but not for rap

Missy called and said fuk yo thread LMAO

U'd be surprised, there are a handful. Not many that stand out except for Missy tho. I cant remember if it was Jazzy Joyce or Coco Chanel but one of the more established Fem DJ's has artists and production credits. I think it's Coco becuz I remember hearing her talk about it in an interview. Jean Grae even does some of her own sh!t.

I think the appeal of hip hop for most women in the industry is a upwardly mobile one. More women are A/Rs and other positions within the industry, everything from Radio personalities to program directors. I think the appeal is more executive than artistic mostly because of the motivation to get into hip hop in general. Most chics aint sitting around discussing freestyles and old school battles or collect cassettes from the golden era like the cats I grew up with. And you would think as ***** as the game is there'd be more fem artist reppin, making these lames n!ggas look even more effeminate. But such is life. But on the production end, most big name producers were DJ's first, almost ALL of them, so if you have enough female DJ's with the itch and ear to produce, you might see a change.

Yes Wemen do know about hip hop they live in the world also. That is kind of a careless statement to make. Coco who produced for Saigon Are You kidding me

Here is An Example of a Nice up and coming Female Producer

Its careless because of Producers like Coacoa Chenale and Your entitled to your oppinion as to what's garbege or not but living in the world has a lot to do with something, if You never heard music, Would you know what it is?

What is music like what makes something hip hop? You have to live somewhere in which music is prodominantly heard. Hip Hop is big in the NYC, How many females live in the NYC? you don't need statistics to figure out that the number of females over there is a lot. Hip hop in the NYC goes togeather like Peas on a hot-plate. Does being a man give you an instant access to hip hop? I'm not trying to argue or nothing but thats kinda stariotypical thats like Saying All Jamacans Smoke Weed. Thats all I'm saying.

Queen L, MC Lyte, Are You Kidding, Gangstarr, K-Swift, Bahamedia, These MC's Also Did there thing on the mic so you saying that females don't know about rap is kinda un suported. Now if you were to say that a lot of wemen aren't seen as a for front in the game that' is an entirely different issue.
