impossible! Post a few tracks please. I heard the callabo preivews from a myspace link and what I heard sounded good. Are you sure you mean to say they've 'lost it', or are yo usimply saying you aren't feeling it.
Bomb thread btw, I'd been wondering about it.

Downloaded the first leak in early Feb, and it sounded good....ok, nothing special.
Now with the retail/grouprip....some of the synths have been replaced with guitars. Its still a pop album, but they did make some noticable changes.
I think the album is ok......its not great, its not terrible either.
In terms of production, I still think Timbaland is doing it. I dont think hes lost it. Every track has its own sound, yet they all blend together. I think Cornell was ok...His voice is strong, but he just doesnt fit well on some tracks. You can tell Justin Timberlake wrote Scream, and a few others. For a guy as talented as Cornell, no one should be writing the lyrics except for you

Cornell lost is 10 years ago but Timbaland isn't doing anything remotely interesting and last year he was awful. I'm still holding out hope for some of his current projects, like Keri Hilson.
I don't have to listen to know it's terrible. You lost when that lame from N.I.N. is sonning you through Twitter.

Disagree, he just matured. Some people want an artist to remain stagnant and if they don't produce the same ish for their entire career people say they sell out, lose it yadda yadda. If they repeat the same ish people complain they don't branch out as artists. You can't please people lol, but I disagree.

I'm not one of those people who's going to call you an idiot, you're entitled to your own opinion. And I agree that artists can't remain stagnant, but Chris Cornell hasn't 'changed' so much as gotten boring. This Timbaland collabo may have been a good idea on paper but they're both sounding really old right now.

Why would you? I didn't insult you or address you in that way, so why would you? We just disagree. Yet for you to make such a statement I must be on my way to touching a nerve so bless.

I said I wasn't going to call you an idiot for disagreeing. Did you read what I actually wrote?

Yes, and in response to the part I quoted, I'm just saying there'd be no reason to anyway that's all. If you're saying most people on here are easily angered cretins who WOULD typically do that instead of "agree to disagree" your message is received ok? ;) night.

You've obviously not been on SOHH for very long.

Chris still had it in him, just Timbaland didn't swim well with him imo. I would download the album, but a purchase would be a letdown.

This album is not bad guys. Picked it up yesterday, Timbo is great on this album (i may be a bit bias)-- But Chris Cornell sounds pretty good over these beats. Of course it’s not his lane, but the album as a whole works for me. I like the way each song is mixed and flows into each other.
But with that said... there is no standout track positive or negative. Does it take away from the album (the positive)? Maybe... But without a blatant filler/horrible track, it works real well for me.
Anymore thoughts on this album?

1. Not the kind of sh*t I would be bumping in the truck
2. Even if it was, I'm a grown man, I don't give a f*ck what song is playing when another vehicle rolls up

Anything Timbo is involved in like this....it takes a while for it to grow on you. its gotta marinate.
I remember the first time I head Duran Durans Red Carpet Massacre....I deleted it off first listen thinking it was the worst thing I ever heard. A year later, I downloaded it again cause I was really struggling to find something to listen to. Now its one of my favorite albums and it still gets spins to this day.
The same thing applies to Scream. I liked it at first listen...and still enjoy it.

The problem is kids want that instant hit everytime, music dosn't work that way all the time.
