These haters will deny it but it's a fact, 50 has made the most consistently best music this decade. From the mixtapes, to how many rappers he punked, to how jay begged him to shut down budden, to lil wayne not responding because he is scared, to punking nas, to destroying ross, to having game almost destroy himself in his closet, to destroying a record label (nas's and murda inc.), to destroying Rnb superstar's MYA's career, to putting on a group of artists, DAM!

lol...he really did destroy everyone
the sad thing about his haters is that most of them were stans even back in 2006. Somewhere along the way, they got mad...probably because 50 dissed other rappers they like.
haters can talk all day about 50 having cops with him...but the only way these other rappers can take out 50 is with guns. Aint nobody seeing him toe to toe

His legacy will go down as something of a combination of Master P's and Puffy's...the only piece of work that he's released that received any kind of critical respect or praise was GRODT...his other albums were received like Nelly or Ja Rule albums, commerciall successful...but critically panned as average to wack...his legacy will be more about his business success and not his music, whether he's the new age Master P or the new age Puffy will depend on whether he fades to the background once people stop giving a fukk about his music (like P)...or if he remains a celebrity through his various entertainment and business ventures (like Puff)

This is closer to the truth. His business acumen gives him somewhat of an iconic status, but MUSICALLY/LYRICALLY there's nothing "all time great" about his work....and to suggest otherwise is just plain wrong, retarded and possibly illegal in 12 states....

Since 50 stans always like to bring up Billboard single charts, his music must suck if his records barely reach the charts.

There's a distinct difference between being a "legend" and being an "all-time great emcee."
I agree 50 is the former, not the latter.
As I said, he has iconic status in hip-hop, that much is clear. But that's due more to his BUSINESS moves than his music.

Do not play yourself. At all.
Master P, Diddy, and Jay's business game >>>>> 50's
Until 50 can make 10 different artists go platinum like P did, survive losing distribution and still making platinum records for 15 years like Diddy, or become successful in music, fashion, b-ball teams, hotels, all that like Jay...
Then that point is null and void.
I would say 50 is #4 though. He could get that number 3 spot from P if he can find a way to stay relevant after the music dries up...
And let's not get started on the music tip...

It's already set in stone. 50 will say what's on his mind, while other people wait until there are no camera's or people then backstab, and say what they feel, and hide their true feelings. 50 = Realest N!gga in music history. He revolutionized the internet, the mixtape, the roast game, the videos, dam he is a trend setter. But his music is what got me hooked. I'm really looking toward Before I self Destruct.
They Burn Me, Bloodclot Mouth, Crack A Bottle. all been dope.
But his diss tracks are quality songs also. When he drops it is a historical event, everybody is tuned in (whether it flops or not). Nikkas will watch the billboard watching his ever move, to either hate, or congratulate.
Curtis was a 3 mic album. Great CD to me.

i agree with this...I dont think hes top 10. But hes made his mark on the industry and i look at him as one of the best rappers of this decade. His flow is top 3 all time, his disses are hilarious. He doesnt even take his opponents serious, he just sh!ts on them and disrespects them.

See the problem with 50 Cent is that either you love him or you hate him so his legacy will be skewed by stans who swear that everything he touches is gold and the haters who will swear that he hasn't managed to do anything right since GRODT. IMO this next album will determine his legacy. If it's at least Massacre (which I feel is just below GRODT if not equal) quality he should go down as a really good rapper with a respectable catalogue. If it's anything like Curtis(which wasn't as bad as people make it out to be but certainly not good) then he'll be remembered as probably the biggest fall-off this decade has ever seen.

As far as sales are concerned, yes.
As far as music is concerned...if you think it's great, cool. But personally, I think he really hasn't made any real great contributions to the genre other than a bunch of horribly forgettable music and one alright album.

good post, I agree with you. I dont know why the Massacre is slept on...thats the problem with haters, they dont give any credit. And like i said in my og post, 50s not better then rakim, nas, jay-z, pac, and whoever else. I think hes in that elite group...just at the bottom of it. And his material before GRODT was real good...

I don't quite think he's in that group yet, but like I said if this next album is of the quality of his first two then I think we should at least give him props as one of the best who came up this decade as far as mainstream is concerned.
Let's not forget the classic mixtape records he and the rest of G-Unit gave us. I personally think he should find a way to release those mixtapes commercially because there are some gems on those.

*****s musta forgot
he has like 30 classic mixtapes all hot... what other rapper even comes remotely close to that?
2 classic albums (5 mics)
power of the dollar and get rich or die trying
2 (4 mic) albums
massacre and curtis
only reason these albums dont get that much credibility is because grodt set the bar and they expect every album to be better than that.. thats pretty hard to do cause that **** was so amazing
he put his whole team on not like other rappers who dont do **** for there team but keep them in the background.... nas,ja rule to name a few
