Low weight, high reps or circuit training.
High rep isolated workouts like curls, calf raises, triceps kickbacks etc. along with calisthenics. Also a little time on the bike or treadclimber would help

girl I used to be all abt the elliptical, but lately I started biking a lot on the street and up hills, gotta say, it's doing wonders for the booty, calves and thighs -- more than the elliptical ever did!
Treadclimber >>>> Elliptical
It feels like its twice the workout
My personal trainer has me doing 10 minutes on the treadclimber, circuit training for another 45, and then another 10-15 minutes on the treadclimber.
Pilates is also awesome for toning....

 Unfortunately I don't have time to actually get the bike out and go biking.. so gym equipment it is.. elliptical has become my best friend.. the treadmill is always too hard on my ankles.. I think it's from running with the wrong shoes in cc back in the day.

I'll have to try the treadclimber.. my roommate has the turbo jam and it has a toning portion and just abs too, along with everything else. I did some circuit training last night and I'm definitely feeling it today :O
--- sidenote: I use to live on the third floor so my calves are crazy tone.. any tips for toning up thighs?

i say train like a guy, you don't have the testosterone levels to build muscle like a guy but will tone up very nicely.

Low weight, high reps or circuit training.
The whole "low weight, high reps" to tone up thing is a myth.
The length of the workout period determines how much fat is burned. You also actually burn more by lifting heavier weight.
Anyways...just watch your diet, do 30-60 min. of cardio a day, drink coffee before exercising, do push ups, bodyweight squats and crunches.
yea you need to build muscle cause that will help you burn the fat faster. You won't get swole unless you're eating tons don't worry.
read up on the HIIT routine, that along with some weight training is all you need.
