View Full Version : Who has "rims" on they car?
I'm thinking, and by thinking, i mean long and hard, about putting 22 or 23 inch wheels on my charger, but i keep getting conflicting stories about putting big "rims" on your car
I know for a fact 22s fit perfectly on the charger w/ no problem, but what type of problems will i probably face in the long run besides worrying about potholes or waking up and seeing my car sitting on bricks?

Used to have rims but as Ocho Seis got older he realized they looked childish and kinda tacky so he sold them

i got 22's on my charger, hasn't caused any problems but if it's a v6 you will notice it's alittle slower

i have 22's on a charger and i cant even tell a difference riding
when i first got the rims the ride was so unsmooth, you can feel every bump you hit no matter how small. your gas mileage will be worse, like maybe 3 less miles per gallon
after a few weeks it feels like youre riding on stocks. ive hit potholes and other stuff and had no problems. do not get cheap tires
and you can get your rims insured for no extra cost

HA...luckily i dont have to deal with "winter" since I live in Miami, but i wont be in miami at the end of the year....Lord knows where ill be, but if i move anywhere with snow, i already know to take them off
I used to ask why n*ggas used to take they rims off they cars in the winter, and i found out why when i seen the end result of a n*gga who aint learn that his 24s need to be put away for the winter
i have some rims and tires

Damn I see allot of yall on here have Chargers w/ 22's, have any of yall had any transmission problems with yours??? You all must live somewhere real flat, or your rims must be super light weight. I had a 2006 w/ 22's and my tranny started leaking fluid around 27K miles, then the tranny died totally around 39K. I wasn't to mad at first because Dodge replaced it free of charge, but then last year when I went to go trade it in I regretted ever buying it in the first place. Dude them Chargers are hella clean, but you will be :grrr::grrr: when you try and sell it or try and trade it in. Dude my old man traded his car in at the same dealership and at the same time as me, and he got more for his ugly @ss 2001 Toyota Camry than I did for my Charger. Maybe it's where yall live, because I'm in Atlanta and it hella hills around here. Not to mention that I know mine wasn't a fluke cuz my boi has a 300C and his tranny went out around 53K, and I've heard a few other people say their tranny's have gone out on 300's and Chargers.
