Its like that for a couple of reasons

1) Its to damn hot, as someone who has lived up north and down south, its allot harder to get clean when its 90 degrees outside with the humidity at 98%. If you go outside in the summer with anything more than a beater and some shorts you will be soaked with sweat like crazy in less then 3 minutes.

2) Dudes in the south would rather put 24 inches on their Challengers than go to the mall and cop some fresh denim. I say it time and time again, dudes up top dress better, dudes in the south ride better. Its just different strokes for different folks.

I disagree with that one, Chicago and DC niccas aint nothing alike. No way no how, I have lived in both cities and once again- THEY ARE NOTHING ALIKE. Chicago is on some real goon type sh1t, not trying to be cliche with it but Chicago dudes really do have a grimy mentality, and clothes are not something they are worried about. DC cats can get grimy also, but that wild wild west, throwin forks up or down attitude is absent in DC. You can go to one of the grimiest hoods in DC, Trinidad, and dudes still be fresh. Go to TerrorTown in Chicago and dudes be dressing like they in Mississippi. Bruh I moved from the 'Go when I was 13, and I really didnt learn how to dress until I moved to DC. DC is on its on island when it comes clothes and just culture overall. Matter of fact Atlanta dudes dress better than dudes in the Go, Chicago is the biggest city where dudes dress bummy. Its a blue collar town, dressing aint looked at as a "must do".

That depends where you are at in the south, like its some cats from New Orleans that live in my building, but until they open their mouth and that crazy @ss N.O. accent comes out, you would think they are from NYC off of how they dress. Here in Atlanta you have allot of dudes that cant dress, but its allot that can. There are so many transplants from up north, and gay dudes here, that even the locals is gettin they Neiman Marcus on nowadays.
