MY CONFESSION OF THE 50 VS ROSS BEEF

honestly i fcks with 50 and gunits music especially their mixtapes them sh1ts are crack i never listened to rick ross at all i wrote him off as a souljah boy status rapper with wack sh1t...even them joints he did with khaled that was blowing up on the radio and everywhere i was like fck rick ross dude is wack he from the south blah blah samesh1t all us new yorkers do...even my man was like yo ross music is pretty good and i laughed at him...but now with this battle with 50 i listened to rosses music and i cant even hate on it...its pretty good not lyrical masterpiece good but dude is not wack...i cant beleive a hiphop junky like me wrote this dude off as mc hammer...he impressed me with his music...i was driving and his song came up with john legend (dont know the name of it) i was def vibing to it and lyrically he is not weak so i gotta give him his props 50 made me like ross music when i couldnt stand dude...i still fcks with gunit's music but now i will bump some ross music also...so i gotta thank 50 for putting me on to his music cause without this beef i dont think i wouldve ever listen to rick ross..and as a hiphop junky i love finding new good music

Props for being open minded. I'm not the biggest Ricky fan, but I finally gave his albums a listen last year and he can rap. He makes good music. I think he's borderline retarded or something with all this munkey this and sonning you that shyt, but his music is good.

ya if you judge ross on his singles you really wouldnt think hes anything special most of the time but when you hear his albums hes actually got some good stuff

i think they both make good music, but in all honesty- i dont think 50's made a good track in... :huh: i honestly cant tell you how long.... Ross is consistently putting out good music. always has.. and as far as the beef goes, he definantly gained more exposure. which is good considering people like yourself who havent heard much of his music, can actually gain some introspect on his work.. w/that said. Deeper Than Rap is bout to be dope.. :yes:

Ross is consistently putting out good music. always has.. and as far as the beef goes, he definantly gained more exposure. which is good considering people like yourself who havent heard much of his music, can actually gain some introspect on his work.. w/that said. yeah 50 hasnt made any good music in a minute but lloyd banks been holding them down with his mixtape joints...i gotta download ross mixtape that he dropped a while ago my mans told me it was heat...i also think deeper than rap is gonna be a good album

I kinda did the same thing with Fab at first. I heard the single, just assumed he was a catchy poppy who just made radio friendly songs and didn't pay all that much attention to him. Later on I really got a chance to listen to non-singles and was like man I messed up.

Like you said, he is far from the best on the mic but the music is entertaining. People are saying his new album is hot, they've had listening parties, so hopefully its more of the same.


haha i feel you with fab but for me it was the opposite effect with fab...cause i liked his mixtape joints which he was killing as faboulous sport...but when he started dropping all these girl songs i didnt check for him...he still makes ok music but i prefer fabs mixtape jump offs much better...

i still don't really like ross like that, but you could def find worse rappers, he's got a good delivery and i can ride to some of his sh1t, thats how i felt about him before this whole 50 ordeal, that's how i feel about him now

Ross is an extremely talented lyrisct. Before he was a rapper, during his CO days, he was a rapper for many southern MC's. This dude had been in the game for a LONG time.
