Rick Ross says if you judge him on making music, then his Deeper Than Rap LP (due March 24) should make a bigger splash on the SoundScan charts than 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
"That's for sport," Ross said about his dis raps aimed at 50. The Miami monster said his underground records won't overshadow the hits on his album. "My freestyles as you could hear them, 'Kiss My Pinky Ring,' I do them in 20 minutes and put them out there. Those crumble empires. People listening to how potent the music is. That's all this really is for me. I'm not really excited yet. All this is a platform for me to show people how talented I am. How much better of a lyricist I am. So if [50] sold 10 [million], my next album should sell 12."

More janky internet reporting, misleading headline...he never said he would sell more than 50, only that he feels he SHOULD because he's the more talented lyricist...
Of course nobody's seeing 12x platinum, that goes without saying...I can see Deeper Than Rap going a lil over gold, and BISD just making it a shade under or above platinum 800K-1.2mil (Jeezy numbers on the low end Kanye 808 numbers on the high end)

Altho Agree thats more realistic but I doubt that it happens because he is fraud. nobody really rooting for him to win this one like Kanye.

Last time around 50s Album sold 1.1 million and Rick Ross 800k..
But 50 had about 50 videos before the album dropped and one was a single with Jt And Timbo when they were cooking

this article says 198,000. dont matter still close to what TOS sold in total but that n1gga hasnt even gone Plat so selling 12mil for him is out of the question. He be lucky to sell 100,000.

ross'll prolly end up at about 700 k when its all said and done, fif prolly about 1 mill even, ross may just drop his best album yet judgin from songs i heard so far, hopefully 50 lives up to his promise of havin a darker more aggressive album if he does i'll like bisd if he goes the curtis route again 50 lost me hopin the ladder dont happen tho

50's that guy that is so naturally gifted he doesn't have to study for the test, and as a result, he is getting C's when he should be getting A's.

ive been saying a small variation of your quote for years. 50 is like the gifted kid in class who skips a grade than his marks drop a little bit. he definetly has the potential (power of the dollar, GRODT, countless mixtapes) to show he can make quality music. he just needs something to get him hungry again.

It's not exactly easy to predict this type of stuff but 50 is due for a classic.
