The past couple of years acts like Justice, Boys Noize, and Digitalism have emerged. Expect great things in the future from the electro scene:yes:

That Bloody Beetroots leak/album, or whatever is terrible. Surkin and Para one are pretty forgettable. I've never heard anything by Crookers. The whole genre seems over saturated--no one is really doing anything too different from anyone else.

I like alot of the acts listed in this thread, but I feel where you're coming from with this as a DJ who ends up spinning a good amount of this stuff. Instead of coming correct with a sound that sounds original, it all ends up sounding the same (i.e. Fidget House, wonk, electro house, etc.)

Nevertheless, alot of these artists and more have made me realize alot of good stuff is coming out.

I am however getting sick and tired of endless remixes and remixes from artists and very few originals to be seen. That really waters the game down to some bullsh!t...in my opinion (damn you hype machine!)

BTW...have you heard of Deadmau5?

Yeah--I still try and give some stuff here and there a listen. It's crazy; an album will have like 14 tracks and only one banger. I rather just cop the singles really.

I haven't heard of Deadmau5.

First i heard of Crookers was that remix of Day N Nite.

I'd like to hear more for sure.

Deadmau5 is a electro house artist who wears a mouse mask live and plays noisy bass heavy tracks. I honestly never heard of him until fall of last year, but for some weird reason he's blown up out of nowhere since 2006.

Some of his stuff I like, but the rest of his material is kind of predictable if you've heard more than 5 tracks.

Deadmau5 is cool...different from the artists mentioned in this thread though, more progressive.

Good point. It still boggles me how he managed to come up and gain a massive following in a relatively short amount of time. So that's why I mentioned him in this thread, because Justice and the Ed Banger crew and Boys Noize did the same.

Yeah, I've enjoyed their music alot and it's great to hear new electro/techno stuff. Boy 8-Bit is cool. Surkin has made some great tracks. There's more and more artists to look for too;

Tiga (has been doing his thing since 99, but has put out some great tracks in the past couple. has a side project with Zombie Nation called ZZT)
Drop The Lime
Strip Steve
Shadow Dancer
Sinden
Puzique
Switch
DJ Mujava
Danger
Mikix The Cat
