How the heck do i get a sound out of a song that has drums over it? Do i have to find a part of the song that the sound doesnt have any drums being played over it? I dont get this shyt man.

You gotta make sure the tempo is aligned with ur project tempo..and you can lay your own drums over top of it. Sometimes if the og drums are too loud u can EQ the bass out and maybe the snare.

i personally try to usually find stuff without drums simply because you can't always eq stuff out and i don't really like following the existing drum patterns. but yeah, like wide said, make sure the tempos of the sample and your track work out evenly and you should be good.

with some time and patience, you can eq out the drums.
but, I say only bother if the drums are light.

another technique is to sample when the kick or snare hits so that the sampled drums will blend in with the drums you add and the part you wanted to sample will still be there
