people have told me they get u like 5% better gas mileage plus maybe like another 10 horsepower. plus its a filter that never needs to be replaced. anyone got one? cuz that sh*t is $50 compared to like $15 for a regular filter.

I had one on my old VW Corrado and loved it. They don't need to replaced, however, they do need to be cleaned, so you're saving some dough in the long run.
They do breath better than the stock filters, but 10 hp is a stretch.

ok, but will i get any better gas mileage. say 5% increase perhaps? how many more HP can i expect, and will I notice any difference in performance?

Yeah, your engine will breath better so you'll most likely see some gains in mileage.
You're going to mainly see a performance gain if you get a cold air intake with a K&N, rather than just the K&N.

Basically what they said. There's a recharge kit you buy to clean the filter, but besides that it's reusable and saves you gas mileage. Worth the money if you can spare it.
Get bout 2-5hp car breathe easier. The number one diference is the sound.. get that whoosh (not the turbo blow off valve sound, but an air suction sound). Makes the engine sound nice.

its a washable, cotton filter. will be more free flowing, but its debated that it being more flowing, lets more debris flow through. i wouldnt expect you to notice any better mileage (unless your filter its filthy right now), nor any noticeable power increase...
ive had them in my bikes, and cars. usually when i put one in its along with something else (chaning to a short ram, swapping airbox, putting on an exhaust, etc...)
filters prob run 50 bucks, and recharge kits are like 15... i bought a recharge kit years ago, and still have enough cleaner/oil to keep going for awhile...
