Just in general, Id like to see what yall think of Pro Tools as a DAW.

Im taking a few classes right now and getting some certifications soon, but right now the software (using 7.4 so far) is not that intuitive and a lot of shyt as far as sequencing is worse than in FL or reason :/

obviously, mixing is another story, but Ive heard that Cubase properly hooked up to good hardware is as good, if not better.

PT seemed to be the industry standard for an audio engineer, but nowadays it looks like it's less constrained by the interface.

i love pro tools but it isn't as good as logic and other daws for midi. it is good for straight up audio recording and editing, and it works for my basic midi needs. in pro tools 8 they are have supposed to expand on the midi but it still isn't as good as logic for that.

basically tho its a really solid program but if u want to use midi with it it takes a little more effort than logic and cubase

yeah, I don't know if using PT for a DAW is a good idea. I don't even think that was/is their intensions. Use Logic or Reason for all that.
