How are the RL custom fit compared to the regular polos? I normally wear a L but I noticed the custom fit have shorter sleeves?

yeah the custom fits got shorter sleeves and they're more tapered around the midsection.

the sleeves show off your arms if you got em. the tapered bottoms hug your waist better, so if your denim game is on point the transition looks a lot better.
