It's one of the staples when I use a Mon/Tues, Thurs/Fri upper/lower routine.

You grab the bar as if u finished a clean, or do you use the cross arm method?

I used cross arm. I just decided to try them after like 9 years of lifting weights:laugh:

I definately cant use too much weight with it at this point, Id need that mantaray made for fronts or Im sure my shoulders would be ouch.

Ya I pretty much front squat half of what I normally squat.

If you got good wrist flexibility you should the clean grip. See how u like it.

That is if you decide to do it again :p

I'm too shook to do squats with weights/bar...call me a pu$$y if you want. When I do squats I do high rep no weight squats. I'm @ 292 lbs right now so I got enough weight...lol

My issue is I don't wanna phuck my back up and also I wanna make sure my form is perfect before doing it with weights. I dunno.

you haven't really weightlifted until you've done squats man. That's like the staple of weightlifting.

My legs are pretty strong but my arse could use more definition (n/h). I'm just really worried about my form. I don't wanna f my back up.

BTW, what are "front squats"?

Get to squatin!

But seriously, you're missing out on overall progression. And if your back is hurting with good form lower the weight to something u can handle.

I didn't squat myself for a long time. Neglected my legs like a mufugga. Just started about 2 years ago real light at first. I was weak as sh*t. Barely able to do 25 lbs on either side. And I hated the leg soreness after.

But I stuck to it and progressed fast. Now I can rep 2 plates on each side which is pretty good for my size. My legs gained muscle which turn benefited the rest of my body. So in short, do them.

Im trying that tonight. I never had enough nerve to try it. It looks harder than regular squats, which is a b!tch on my knees.

I did these last night and I found out that I couldnt use the same weight as regular squats. I could only do 4x8 of 225 comfortably. My shoulders are sore but my legs feel different, I guess because of a new variation. Also it's harder on my knees.
