I train in BJJ and Muay Thai in Camp Springs, MD under Master Lloyd Irvin and have 6 years of prior wrestling base from high school and college. Questions?

Whats your Jiujitsu style like?

Master Lloyd Irvin was the first person in history to have his black belt in Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Combat Sambo and Judo and I think he is the first black guy to get his BJJ Black Belt in Brazil. He is one of like 3 people to get it in 4 years, he a real nicca.
Me? My original base is wrestling so I got good takedowns and GREAT TDD and I'm usually pretty good at getting top position and mounting. My original problem was a lot of the wrestling takedowns leave your prone for armlocks and triangles so I've worked hard to fix that, but I think I've lost a bit of my aggression because of it, I used to go HARD.
Now, I'm working on my sweeps and diversifying my arsenal. I'm training overall in MMA too, so I don't get to focus completely on my Jitz but I'm workin on it, still a white belt, but we got a white belt combat team.

If you serious about it, work on your technique first. The power will come once you get the technique down...
