On Topic- Last year was pretty bad for rap, Q-Tip's album was straight though.. A much, much better listen than VLV.. Can't really think of too many others from '08 but I don't listen to rap all that often.. As far as top rock/alternative albums from '08 this album doesn't rank at all... 1

Is this actually good? I find Rock albums hard to get in to, and Coldplay seems boring as hell, even though I loved the song Viva La Vida. Only Rock CD's I listen to regularly are Appetite For Destruction and Are You Experienced.

they've been going downhill since A Rush of Blood to the Head...X & Y was decent but this one was pretty "eh." Not bad, but not really good, either.

I don't dislike Coldplay and I never really cared about the Radiohead comparisons, but the middle of '42' was straight out of some mid-late 90's RH stuff, like they were listening to OK Computer right before adding that part to the song.

The Prospekt disc was great. I disliked the Jay-Z verse on Lost. I don't think he fits in well on a Coldplay song. Very good album imo.
