WTF? My dad always taught me to go dealership with my maintenance, but to only throw in 3 qts of oil (had an oil change this summer) and some washer fluid and then charge me 105 for labor??? Hell no
how hard/messy is it to change oil and check your fluids yourself?

GAWD DAMN! That's why I call them "stealerships." What car company?
Adding oil and washer fluid is probably the easiest thing you can do for a car.
Lmao...I'm sorry for laughin but damn. That's ****ed up. U shouldnve paid all that. I would have walked out when they told me the price.

lol...i mean it's a maintenance, i had no clue what all they check when doing that...but if it's only gonna be fluid changes, then they can kiss my ass. coming from an old car, a maintenance was necessary since there was almost always something that needed to be fixed, but i guess this isn't so for new cars. iLearned
this car isn't scheduled for a tune up til 100k (so they say) so i have no idea what needs to happen to it in the meantime to keep it up besides oil/fluid/rotations
learn how to do it yourself or have a friend do it
if not take it to a independent shop f a dealership
it would cost me thousands if i went to a dealership when i had problems or had to change oil is like 300$+ at the stealership
i imagine its real easy on a honda

You couldve went to Valvoline and paid less than half. Just so you know, car repair (at a dealership) is only worth it if you car is under warranty.
Car repair and home improvement are two of the biggest hustles out there.

Its very easy. Literally the hardest part when you dont know how is buying the plugs, sensors, oil and lifting your car off the ground. Gotta get on your Lifestyle sh1t and learn how to do your own car repairs. Not only does it make you more of a man, its attractive to The Dimes when you tell them you changed your own oil

It's in the manual, but here you go. I don't think you need to have it display the oil life, but that is what the results on Google said. Otherwise, it's the same as what's in the manual.
Reset MID as follows:
1. Turn ignition switch to ON
2. Press the < or > button repeatedly until the oil life is displayed.
3. Press and hold the Select/Reset button for 10 sec. The MID will ask for confirmation.
+If you are sure you want to reset the display, press the Select/Reset button to select "OK".
+ If you do not want to reset the display, press the < or > button to select "Cancel".

First of all don't go to the dealership unless it's a last resort.
What kinda car you got? The oil change might not be that tough.

LMAO, thanks. damn thats easy. well I ended up only paying $35 (had a coupon) for the oil change at the dealership, so I didn't get raped. plus they washed my car too! jiffy lube is like 3 bucks cheaper and they only wash my window.
