I was looking around online and saw something about doing a set of push up and a set of squats as a superset. Is it really more effective or just a quicker way of exercising?

superset is just an advanced technique, it is more effective when your body gets used to doing something a certain way but not a long term lifting tactic

generally you do the same muscle or its oppisite

IE
a set of dumb bell curls followed immediately by preacher curls
OR a set of curls followed by immediately doing tricep pushdown

Oh ok, so for example to you count one set of dumb bell curls and a set of preacher curls and count it as one set. Rest then do another set of both as set 2?
