How does one go about obtaining some red rep points?

Subc was gracious enough to grant me some. Then I entered a thread (concerning the same topic) and requested more.

those little green or red boxes that appear under your name in your profile are called reputation points. we currently are NOT using rep points to serve any purpose on our boards -- however, mods and certain users do have the ability to give out rep points at random.
because we are not using the rep point system to serve any purpose, requests about rep points are not at all a priority as far as issues that should be coming into this forum.. so please DO NOT MAKE THREADS IN TELL SOHH ASKING FOR REP POINTS. if receiving pointless rep points is of utter importance to you, please PM the mod of your choice to ask for rep points, or catch them in a thread and ask about it.
