Cadillac STS or CTS???

Im thinking bout getting 05 or 06 of either model...

It's the mid-level Cadillac. Decent A-to-B transportation.

Doesn't do anything great in particular.

Horrible fuel economy.

Unless your bent on "supporting the American auto industry", there are way better cars for that price range.

One more thing, the STS, and the DTS are going to be discontinued in 2010, so your going to take a big hit depreciation wise on your car when that happens.

hmm...i heard bout that... good point cuz i forgot all bout it.... kinda makes me lean more towards buying a cts ... knowing it'll at least be around for a while longer

they nice, you can get one for 15-16k low miles but for 17-20k you can get a used 05 acura rl & its waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more luxury/technology & more reliable

Truthfully I hate to give you a generic sounding answer but are you buying it with the purpose of making it yours? Or driving it for a few years then trading out of it or selling it. You really gotta go with what feels good to you, I wouldn't recommend dropping the dough on the STS IF you're planning to turn around and trade out of it in a few years, but if you're planning to make the car yours, toy around with them both. I picked the CTS because its eye turning but subtle for a "luxury car" and doesn't make me look uppity in the neighborhood I live in. Plus it gets fair gas mileage

Exterior and price wise i prefer the CTS...

to be honest the main reason i want the STS at all is because it has certain features most CTS's dont offer (voice recognition, heated/cool seats, keyless start etc)...i know i shouldnt buy a car becuz of shyt like that but its appealing

SMH at Acura. If they're so advanced, then why haven't they moved past a 5 speed automatic? Lexus has an 8 speed yet Honda/Acura can't make a 6 speed.
