While on my hunt to learn more, I've been hearing about how the body starts to release a hormone that burns muscle after long periods of exercise. What exactly is the deal with this. . does it prohibit fat from being burned and only targets muscle mass when it's released into the body?

i've heard this too. i don't know. i usually go for 1/2 hours and have never noticed a problem - i think it's only if you're workout is really intense.

For some people, too long of a workout= overtraining.
Some people so so much volume that 45 mins is way too short.
My workout is usually about an hour or less...some days a little longer if I need more recovery time
