I do not really have any hot spots. I can shop just about anywhere and find something and look good in it. If you have to rely upon (hide behind) a store or a brand, then you probably do not really know what you are doing anyway.
True story, I have a pair of black McDonalds slacks from when I worked there in HS. I still wear them regularly and get compliments on them literally just about everytime I wear them.
But Goodwills in nice neighborhoods are slept on, especially for accessories.
Outlets, outlets, outlets for work gear. Brooks Brothers and Ralph Lauren outlet have held me down for years....
For sneakers I'll hit up a lot of sneaker boutique sales, ebay or niketalk/iss listings. Sample sales, rarely will I buy something full price.
I also hit up the army surplus stores....a lot of cheap sh1t that you won't catch people in. I've gotten a lot of compliments on my military jackets and button ups.
inside t's I get 5 for $10 in Chinatown....don't pay for boxers, socks, cologne, ties, etc....as I get that sh1t from girls.

I gave my peacoat from the service to one of my homies. It never fit me anyway because of my long arms. So it had been in my trunk for a long time and he saw it and thought it was dope.

i was the same way until my boy told me they sold Levi's. i cop jeans from there and if i need something small like a belt or undershirt wal-mart/ target is usually perfect for that too. you'll save a lot money.
Tokio7 (Sort of secret). Beacon's Closet in Williamsburg (Not a secret, but still extra fresh all the time, & very generous if you're on trend selling your own sh*t). Forever 21's mens' section (cool tops for a Friday night), the backracks at select Gap, Inc stores (Gap, BR, OldNavy) at a certain time of day on a certain day of the month. Vintage frames at the liquor store JCrew. Being not-obvious when kissing a little ass upon meeting someone who works for places like Theory & other specialty retailers (Sample Sales = eMail addresses need to be exchanged).
These are all NYC spots, btw.

first of all, get on your favorite brands' email list
they will send you early and crazy sales on their merchandise all the time
for example
when polo usually starts clearance, they will have a 'private sale' that you can get say, 30% additional off of their already 40%-60% off stuff plus free shipping. Insane deals that way. I usually keep a ton of stuff on my 'wish list' on their site, so I don't miss things I wanted before, and wait until it drops.
Burberry does as well, but very rarely. Nike does all the time.
My suggestion is to keep your eyes on brand sites rather than in stores, you can get more exclusive clothes at better prices and great customer service.
also, don't pay for shyt that legit doesn't matter. For example, black leather gloves. Seriously, who gives a fukk what brand they are if they look good and are quality. White dress shirts....fukkin SEARS or JCPenny that shyt...
this past week I was at banana republic and bought a pair of slacks and a white shirt, shyt was $156 total...it didn't phase me until i was elsewhere in the mall and was like "wtf do i need an $80 white shirt, that will be under sweaters and shyt?" I promptly took that shyt back. especially when I have like a dozen white shirts. In their defense it was incredible quality and perfect fit, but its just not worth it.

the michigan ave RL store in chicago is absolutely insane too. The one by me, in Troy, MI, leaves a lot to be desired however.

yea good point. only reason i got Kangol gloves was because i got them for 7 dollars. i could live with out name brand gloves, but i got a great deal.
stuff like belts, boxers, socks, it's smart to go generic
i hear you on the white dress shirt idea too. last week i needed one and went to TJ maxx, got a geoffery bean joint for $15, and a sick calvin klein tie for 7 dollars. and a dope pair of levi's for 15
that place is the truth
I swear Canada really needs to bring Marshall's and TJ Maxx north of the border. You want a shirt, you're paying at least $30. Even a crappy joint at Sears.

it's hit or miss, but when you strike gold the deals you get are on another level.
the brands are dope; polo, levi's, CK, most of the urban brands, nike, addidas, reebok, jordan sometimes
and everything is atleast 50% less than MSRP if not more

hell nah,..n!gga....
naw,...that cheap j crew...j riggins was like: 93-94.
i ain't goin back to that era,..ever.
don't rock nuffin from that era,...hoodies, TIMBERLANDS, thrift store pants,..none of that old sh!T not swag no more, type demo sh!T.
step ya game up,..B!

leave that store alone...they are about 30-40% more overpriced than the website.
only time they were hot was when they gave me all my discounts and coupons to cop my last two wintercoats..which still was beasting on the pricetag. 1400,..but i had to have that cause lo been on some never again will we make this piece type sh1T,..for like twelve years now.
i was like yall a life saver...
knowing damn well it was once in a lifetime.
plus all their like 1000 painter jeans,..you can get irregular with one stitch outta line for 90, at filene's or tj maxx.
tj maxx, and filene's actually is the place to go to find deadstock 1500 versace jeans, or gucci, or some wild italian make and brand you only see once in a while outta your size from a few years ago. then wonder why they never have that sh1T in my size.
they got the sh!T with suede, goldplated raised buttons and all that for like 150.....plus in the large sizes..i guess the europeans don't really want, the size thirty eight to forty two.
i would cop if jeans was my deal. believe me they got some incredible sh!T if you go to the whitest tj maxx/filene's,..not near your hood not downtown store you can find.
i guess i will give the hot white t/wife beat tip away too....at filene's or tj maxx...the 30 lo wear white tee's and wife beaters are three dollars...omfg....which aren't irregular..they just been sitting there all clumped together. especially if you go to the white burban store that doesn't rock white tee's....
you just gotta go through them sh!T's....
they got hordes of sh!T like that for nuffin...plus enough sizes in quantity that you may never buy another white tee again.
i ain't never paying thirty for no just plain white tee or wife beater that is just straight dumb.
i wouldn't care if i won the lottery,...i'm not doin that sh!T.....phuck that...
hilfiger, even the outlet runs the racket on that thirty/forty irregular tee...man, phuck them all together. even if it is some sh!T you will never see again.
anyway,........i know all yall ya digs...already..
i was hoping to find some new hotness........
actually what the threadstarter listed is like the start of the get fresh survival kit.
after you graduate though,..you gotta go to the levels i go to i won't elaborate on....
i'll give away one tip. when you go to the mall,..those stores that sell those urban hoodies, and trendy jeans with all the stitching and whatever nonsense on them.[i don't rock jeans,..phuck them sh1T's]....y'know them sh1T's were dude is like i got them i cop'd back in 2002.
well anyway,....if you go in them. once upon a time they tried to go high fashion and couldn't move the sh!T. go in there and ask if they got some gucci's, lo's, or some
sh!t like that.
chances are they got some dead stock in the right prices. yet, couldn't move them cause they got that don't know what to buy dope boi market that don't want timeless sh!t. usually they will start making crazy deals, to get rid of the sh!T. they usually have the colors you want,..and are looking to just barn burner give away them
sh!T's.....for the low.

Outlets, Outlets, Outlets, Discount stores, and more Outlets
For Denim I fucs with the Off Saks Outlet on GA 400, Neiman Marcus Outlet at Discover Mills, Feliene's Basement on Peachtree for the Premium Denim. The Neiman's outlet always has Tru's, Rock & Republic, Monarchy's for the low low.
For shirts I fucs with Karmaloop (like who doesn't?), Urban Outfitters, or even Old Navy.
For kicks I fucs with Walters in Downtown ATL, Standard on Peachtree, or that store across from the Vortex on Moreland Ave. Also the DTLR store on Hwy 85 on the southside of the A always has hot kicks on sale for the low. I caught some eggplant Foams there for only $110, those niccas in Clayton County to busy with trying to be gangsters to worry about getting clean, so there stuff is always on sale.
Oh yeah I take excellent care of all my garments and shoes, so what I do is after a few times wearing something, I'll post an add on Craigslist in like Macon, GA or Augusta, GA and sell my sh1t for almost what I paid for it. People in those small towns dont have access to stuff like that and they will pay for your used clothes in hot minute.

Yea, I remember hitting up TJ Maxx a good 4-5 years ago and seeing lacoste, ralph, CK for crazy prices. It's hit or miss...but you know there's only a good 2 chains that carry Ralph Lauren in Toronto? Despicable.
When I was in NC, I went crazy at Dillard's and all the other department stores that sell Ralph
Gap has some dope thermals
Eddie Bauer has some nice sweaters and button ups
In NYC:
Pegasus on 109th and 3rd Ave...The best fitted shop in NYC, they are the only dudes who still sell the fitteds with the grey underbrims and they also sell the retro joints with the green underbrim with the conference logo on the side. The shop is 10x better than the New Era store.
The BK Circus: Really one of my favorite shops in all of NYC,these dudes started on some streetwear ish and have nicely evolved...here is a link to there website www.thebkcircus.com/blog

You shop at Pegasus too? That and Caps Unlimited are the 2 best fitted stores in the city. I gotta go back there and get me another pick up this weekend.
The prices are real good too. At Caps you can find some gems for $20 or less, still new.
The Twisteds are back out, I gotta see what I can do about either a Mariners or Rockies Twisted in white and blue. Aside from a Licey fitted, I could always just get a Yankee fitted and then sucker this store selling a #25 Authentic Road jersey for $75.
