A lot of men have caught onto the skinny jean trend - how long do you think it will last? Will baggy make a comeback? And how skinny is too skinny?
DrJays.com has a wide variety of denim in all fits and sizes - check it:

What about just straight leg jeans? Y'all just can't make broad generalizations about fit.

The skinny jean trend existed prior to hip-hop co-opting it. So, naturally it would exist whenever folks moved on to something else. But it seems that culture/fashion is such a hodge-podge (the mixture of hip-hop, skate, 'streetwear', and "rock")--it's tough to say really.

If you're uncomfortable that probably means they're too skinny? Or is that too obvious a conclusion.
