always measure yourself by your own accomplishments
never make promises you intentionally don't plan to hold
can't count the amount of times I've witnessed people treat people like people treat invalids
come on into my home, smell the fresh food cooking in the skillet off my stove
I'm the type of guy that would invite you in his home to get you out the cold then feed you with the last food he holds
I've always found it better to be quiet well kept and modest rather then being rude ignorant and dishonest
One day I was walking in the rain, On my way to work to pick up the pay thats going take me through to another day
An what do I see, but an old man living life his way - on the day to day
Struggling to make ends meat, Living in a cardboard box off the streets
Ya Feel Me
I approached the bloke and he almost croaked
I stopped, pulled out some change an asked em if he was ok?
He said he was great, I could read the sincerity on his face
He told me All his life, he did wrong, all he did was hate on and on and on
but one day he woke up changed and all his problems went away
he said he blamed... himself....
he explained the only one that was able to help... was... his concious and himself
So I had to ask, just what the hell he meant by that
He Claimed..
the goal to happy living is letting go
letting go of the things you can't control
pray to god and let the higher power know
that life is not worth the guess
that whatever happens, happens
it's all just a test
This gesture was even more enlightening then conversation with connected pastures
What a disaster, could you imagine if people knew this? it'd effect their fellowship
as I told someone, they questioned my intelligence
So I kept it to myself, cuz I really need the help
never make promises you intentionally don't plan to hold
can't count the amount of times I've witnessed people treat people like people treat invalids
