it's not that it's the same sample. like you said, plenty of songs have the same sample as other songs. I just felt like it was too "similar". Take American Way on Nas' Street Disciple. samples Atomic Dog. great sample, cool beat, nice song. but when people ask what are Q-Tip's greatest beats, people probably won't say "American Way". how many people have sampled "Walk On By" and yet they all sound different. the ones that sound the same as other beats don't get as much props. but don't get me wrong, you can still flip it mayne, or keep it the same. i'm just one opinion out of many.
