As long as the blacks match ain't nothing wrong with it. If I do sport this outfit, it is usually without a tie though...and with a pocket square with a touch of color.

that's really the only time i could see wearing black on black like that. and even then it would look better with some dark gray slacks.

Shouldn't really be a staple in your rotation of outfits, but it is cool on occasion. I go all in though...black Calvin Klein suit with a black Calvin Klein shirt and some black lace-ups. I've gotten compliments on it.

Check out the Gillette commercial...three ways to sport the black on black. Nothing wrong with it at all.

ehhhh...... If I were to to this I would have to have that touch of color. Something bold.

IMO, you can tell a really fashion forward person by the way they wear black. Black can either be the 'safe thing to wear'/punk out or the color to really do something unique with.

rocking black is seriously underrated because of how so many people cant do it.

I agree. I would do it with whatever the hot color of the season happens to be. Like purple for fall/winter 09 or a berry red for spring 09. This is a really, really basic look that you will either look like you know what you are doing, or look like a complete ass.

but then again, your overall "swagger" also makes your outfit too.because if your a lame with something nice on you still give off that lame vibe.

SMH @ me not owning anything purple.

True.

Yeah, I have about 3 purple pieces. It is a carry over hot color from last year.

black basically goes with everything. If you do decide to wear black w/black, make sure that both blacks match and not one ligher than the other.

I still think there should be at least 1 'standout' piece when someone wears black on black. Really dope shoes, a nice time piece, vivid hankerchief, etc. Too much black is just playing it safe, IMO.

If my blazer and slacks then I might use a smokey grey tie. I'm talkin almost black but not quite black if that makes sense. But never mix the blueish black with the brownish black.

You don't always have to do this...standings out all the time is not a good thing.

its the truth. Gotta keep it consistent. Would you ever wear like a lavendar tie with your suit if it was all black? I jus cant wear bright on my suits like that so i stay toned down.
