View Full Version : Getting Brolic Without Weights
Does anyone have a regiment for those of us who are too lazy to go to the gym. I train 4 days a week doing Brazillian Jiujitsu and i just dont have it in me to hit the gym 2 - 3 days a week in between there. I do have time to fukk with floor excercises at home but outside of pushups, situps and burpees i dont really have a regiment that provides a form of direction. Any suggestions?

By some adjustable dumbells/handles and a curling bar(optional)...you can do alot of stuff without taking up space or having to goto a gym
they even make benches that fold up and go under your bed to save space.

You can put all that stuff under the bed and do your whole body..pause
you can buy a weighted vest to add some resistance to what youre doing tho
heres the answer to your question tho

Wrong, lawrence taylor never used weights. I can live with noob gains though. I need to ahve some kinda mobility in my muscles. Bein all stuffy in the chest will restrict the movement i need for jiujitsu.

Yea we do all that for a warmup before technique. Liftin cats up by that jacket is not fun. We have to do fireman carries and run 2 laps around the mat. We also have to hold a dude by his sleeve and drag him across the mat. Used to rip the skin off my knuckles.
Heres what ima do
7 sets of 30 pushups
300 situps - 100 with arms out - 100 leg lifts (feet together) - 100 crunches
5 sets of 20 burpees aka (jumpsquats)
I do that every other day i should be able to maintain some decent strength. I'll probably buy a bar to put in my door frame so i can do pullups and just do 3 sets of 10 wide grip. I used to be a gym rat but after the bjj i fell the fukk off but have been able to maintain tone by training. I can tell my strength has degraded cuz i cant use rage to beat the cats that come in all swole. They're tooooo strong. Thats the point of jiujitsu but you gotta be able to establish some respect with a equal level of strength sometimes. Thanks for the help.

Yea thats why you dont train with ego driven psychopaths. In a gym setting there usually isnt a leader(sensei) present deflate the ego of the students and reinforce the fact that you are there to have fun and learn. Add spectating females and yea your going to have a lot of ego driven sparrin that leads to someone getting hurt. We dont have that at my academy......................................................often.

And to add to this with the time it takes to put on any substantial amount of mass with bodyweight exercises, your gains from weight training would easily be 10x greater.

My suggestion that you should take aleast one day off to regain back strength and energy. Sunday was my day I took off and be sure to throw some weight training in to the mix. As time progress the workout will become easy and when it does take it up a notch or when you feel the time is right.
If anyone recognize this workout and know the site can you plz give it to me.
I want to thank the creator.

You're not bringing anything mature to my thread. I think you should leave.
