Whats good sohh...im 6 feet 190 and want to drop some weight...ive been running two miles every day using a HIIT workout...i walk at 4 mph for a minute, run at 8 for a minute, walk at 4 for a minute, run at 8 for a minute for 20 mins...i read that this is supposed to work better than just running at a low speed. is this a waste of time....im running and lifting as well
I don't think you need to do this for 20 minutes. That is 10 intervals. Seems like a lot.

thats not high intensity.
the point of hiit is pushing yourself to your limits. a good example is football practice. you've got your WR's and CBs running 40 yards at full speeds every play, lightly joggin back to the line, then doin it again.
your high intensity speeds should be closer to 15mph. it should be a full sprint. otherwise you're just doing regular interval training which is good, just not as effective.

You push yourself to the limit doing HIIT. It's never easy, It never feels good. But the results.... worth it.

the way i do HIIT is to push myself to the point where I am about to be physically sick then stop, go slow for a bit then push myself back to breaking point...repeat and so on...that's the kind of feeling u need to be looking for.

throwing up after a HIIT session is very common. if you dont get that nauseous feeling then you probably arent doin it right.
