As far as books go i just read all 11 threads, can't really comment on allot of the cultural ones that dont apply to me but.
Vonnegut is cool.
William Gibson is cool.
Stephen King is aight.
Brave New World and 1984 are the shiznit.
Dune is a pretty tight book no one mentioned.
The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan use to be my thing but im burnt out on it now, and cant finish most recent 2 books.
The Hero with a thousand faces by Joseph Cambell is highly recommended for any of yall who into religion/mythology.

Stephen King is aight.
The only Stephen King books I touch is his Dark Tower series. That **** is the bomb. I don't **** with his other books cause I'm not too much in to horror. The Dark Tower Series isn't horror. It's got some wild west, futuristic, 80's era, fantasy, type **** going on.
The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan use to be my thing but im burnt out on it now, and cant finish most recent 2 books.
This cracka taking his time with it. I don't even care about the ****ing series no more. It seems like he is dragging the story out, trying to milk the cow for all it's worth. Talk about creating the seemingly greatest series ever then ****ing it all up!
The last book I read was Faith of the Fallen, by Terry Goodkind. It was ok. Terry's falling off though. The only book that really took me away was Talon of the Silver Hawk by Raymond E. Feist. That **** is the bomb! My ***** making a comeback! He's my favorite author right now. I hope his next **** is tighter. I'd **** with Terry Brooks new **** but I'm busy writing my own trilogy. I'm tired of these crackas writing the same ole ****. BTW When I get famous, I ain't saying who I am on SOHH, cause I say cracka too much on this site and I don't want it haunting my ass in the future. HA HA! It's just a slang for white peeps. I call my brothas *****z all the time. I don't mean no harm.

After being a huge fan of the movie Fight Club when it came out, and then after the events of 9/11, i totally reconsidered.
The movie was definitely as are others (Independence Day, Die Hard, etc) a preconditioning technique to make you accept the images of 9/11 much more smoothly.
So i dont trust Chuck Palahniuk as far as i can throw em after that.
Sure the movie seems anti establishment and anti facism, but in the end its about a buncha skinheads beating the **** out of eachother.
Its REVERSE REVERSE pyschology, often used in Advertising and Cointel pro.

Its about a guy comin home from prison , and reuniting with his teenage son who is startin to cut up in school and gt into trouble.. His wife divorced him while he was down and he never really had a relationship with his son , becase he was 2 yrs old when he went in . He got locked up for manslaughter after hittin somebody withhis car while he was drunk after fighting with his then wife about bills and food . Im feelin it and im only on page 30 !!
