Now I kinda feel sorry I came in this thread...I just finished "The Devil Wears Prada"-I didn't like it. I liked "The Nanny Diaries" better. I want to start reading "The Art of War" even though I heard it's pretty long...

The Art Of War translated by Thomas Cleary (the best translation in my opinion) is only 172 pages.

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand

I've never read a book this thick in my LIFE!! it's a welcomed challenge.

Work has severely slowed my reading. I typically have a long summer reading list and I haven't hardly gotten through any of it.

Right now I read graphic novels before I go to bead: just finished ORBITER and TRANSMETROPOLITAN by Warren Ellis & Y: THE LAST MAN by Brian Vaughan
Did you like Y: The Last Man? I did. What about the other ones, I haven't read either.

I just finished The Bridge on the River Kwai by Pierre Boulle and I'm about to start Pride and Prejudice again :O

Bio of a Space Tyrant - Piers Anthony

Tells the story in first-person perspective of a poor, Hispanic refugee (Hope Hubris) who becomes the leader of the Executive, Judicial and Legislative Branches of the planet Jupiter, which is the solar system's equivalent of the United States of America. In short, a Tyrant of the most powerful government in the system from Mars to Pluto. 5-book series:

1. Refugee
2. Mercenary
3. Politician
4. Executive
5. Statesman

Have to re-read these in order to become reacquainted since I picked up another book written in 2001: The Iron Maiden which tells the story from the perspective of Hope's 1 true companion throughout life, his sister Spirit.

Have you read Atlas Shurgged in it's entirety?

This is the only book I've read of her's..... I'm sure Ayn Rand's style isn't for everyone.

Care to elaborate on what you dislike out this particular author (besides her writing style)....
