"When I was released from prison I had little to nothing. I was paroled to my mom's house where I slept on an old ass couch. After a few months of culture shock from being away from society for so long I took $500 and made my first real estate investment. That investment placed a $28,000 profit in my pockets just a few months later. Since that day I ain't never looked back. In less than a year I had turned that $500 into $500,000 and my life was obviously changed forever."

Lemme know how this is, aight?I'm almost done with this book...it's a pretty good read. My favorite agreement is "Don't take things personally"...it expounds on how anything other people say to you is a reflection of themselves. So whether someone says something to offend you or compliment you, it's because of whatever it is they are dealing with within themselves. So it has nothing to do with you, really...no matter how directly the statement is made at you.

i saw their new book in borders a couple of days ago. the follow-up to skinny bytch.. "kick-ass recipes", something something.. i can see how they're appealing to women of all types/shapes/etc.. very marketable.

I just finished Slash's autobiography, "It Seems Excessive, But That Doesn't Mean It Didn't Happen". Great, crazy, funny book.
(FYI JIC, Slash was the lead guitarist in Guns N' Roses and is currently the lead guitarist in Velvet Revolver.)

Ok...finished this the other day. VERY GOOD READ. Even though I already knew most of the stuff that they were saying...there was still some good additional reading. I'm also going to look into reading a couple of the books they sited for reference. It has information about ingredients in food...chemicals, preservatives, pesticides, hormones, hydrogenated oils, refined sugars, high fructose corn syrup, bleached bread and pasta...all that. It encourages organic (vegan) eating. I'm not turning vegen though...I don't eat eggs and dairy THAT often, but I do eat it. They did suggest some soy cheese alternatives that they said tasted good and actually melt...and I'm going to look into those..I trust the recommendation, because even they said that the rest of the soy cheeses taste like crap. *hopes this company didn't pay them to say that*. They also went into a little history about the FDA ans USDA. Again...very good book.
