For my people who like Chuck Palanuik, i'm about halfway done with his new book Rant, and it's shaping out to be very good...I like the way it is written in the oral biography form...it was kinda confusing at first, but you'll get into it

I remember my friend telling me about this book but I can't remember what this is about. I just checked it out the library with about four other books.

I'm currently reading "What Makes You Not a Buddhist" by Dzongsar Khyentse, this is a very good read so far.

Yea its a good book. Its the memoir of a now highly successful lawyer in LA who had it rough growing up (to say the least). Its her story of rape, prostitution, drugs and alcohol. I'm almost done ill probably finish it tomorrow. Her story is pretty amazing.

i knew that was you!
actually, i lied earlier. i haven't read everything by him because i forgot that i haven't yet read stranger than fiction. i have read all of his fiction, though. invisible monsters was probably my favorite one. i also really liked choke and survivor.. even though the twist in "choke" reminded me of his fight club twist, which i fukking HATED in the movie but kinda dug in the book.
you'll probably like lullaby, too.. i'm currently trying to get my boyfriend turned onto chuck p, and i loaned him "survivor".. like i said, what i love about him is that he puts so much research and effort into every book and the end result is so much fascinating sh1t that is true, half-true, or could be true.

Good to see some fellow Chuck P fans. I think I read em all except for stranger than fiction and I'm working on Haunted now. I always read to my girlfriend the strange facts he has in his books to see her reaction.

i just began this book called the last street novel by omar tyree. omar tyree is like one of the few black authors i can tolerate to read consistently because his books are more imaginative and revolve around more than just boy meets girl type sh!t.
