this is SO odd. i only clicked on this thread b/c i saw your screenname & i wanted to see your join date b/c your s/n looked SO familiar, but i hadn't seen it in SO long.. and you happen to be reading the exact same book that i am.
i have read all of chuck p's books and yes, he is an amazing author. he does so much research with every book to make it as colorful and full of bizarre "this could really happen" situations as possible. every read is chock full of the most simple yet at times profound "truths" about life.. some of which are gross exaggerations but still NEW in terms of being presented. i dig it.
strangely "haunted" is turning out to be my least favorite book of his yet. i don't know if it's because i'm disappointed that it's his last book that i have left to read or what.. i just found it VERY hard to get into, and even though i've been semi-into it for a while now, i still find my concentration waning at times. it's been a frustrating read so far if nothing else.

  ...what up femme...yea, i remember when we use to go at each other back when i was in "the movement"...and yea, it's been a while since i've constantly been on sohh and alot has changed (i can hardly stand the Dips anymore), but i've found myself coming back more and more these days
but about Haunted, I just finished reading it last night...i actually found it pretty interesting and i liked it better than Diary...it did take a couple of chapters for me to get into it, but it did get me hooked...i just really find his style of writing genius...I started Lullaby this morning and so far it's turning out great too...
in terms of Haunted being the last one you have left to read, he has a new one dropping on May 1, so it's not that long of a wait...but have you read Stranger Than Fiction??? it was a nice little read too, even though it wasn't the usual Chuck P fiction...also he had a short story in Vice Magazine a while back...you should be able to read it on their website

i knew that was you!
actually, i lied earlier. i haven't read everything by him because i forgot that i haven't yet read stranger than fiction. i have read all of his fiction, though. invisible monsters was probably my favorite one. i also really liked choke and survivor.. even though the twist in "choke" reminded me of his fight club twist, which i fukking HATED in the movie but kinda dug in the book.
you'll probably like lullaby, too.. i'm currently trying to get my boyfriend turned onto chuck p, and i loaned him "survivor".. like i said, what i love about him is that he puts so much research and effort into every book and the end result is so much fascinating sh1t that is true, half-true, or could be true.
