If you're serious about increasing your strength, follow this six week training program and you'll soon be on your way to completing 100 consecutive push ups!

Think there's no way you could do this? I think you can! All you need is a good plan, plenty of discipline and about 30 minutes a week to achive this goal!

No doubt some of you can already do 50 consecutive push ups, but let's face it, you're in a big minority. Most of you reading this won't even be able to manage 20 pushups. Actually, I'm sure many of you can't even do 10.

However, it really doesn't matter which group you fall into. If you follow the progressive push ups training program, I'm positive you'll soon be able to do 100 push ups!

I just started this routine a while ago:

20 push ups
20 squats
20 sit ups/cruches
20 jumping jacks

The catch is, you must do 10 sets of those with only 15 seconds of rest in between each set. Dress light. It challenges you whole body and it helps your cardio. If you cant do 20 per set, try 10 of each per set. After 5 sets I give myself 1- 2 minutes of rest

I've been told by 3 different doctors that push ups are nothing but trouble. That could be due to the fact that my elbows and shoulders are f*cked though....

Almost 8 years and 28,000 posts and this is all you can come up with? You should have the fingers of an AIDS patient with all that typing since the Taliban made theTowers falll.

100 pushups is a start

i just follow what i used to do when in the pen

500 in the morning before we move to breakfast

500 in the cell after breakfast

a couple reps of 500 when just waiting for yard time

no pushups on the yard, mostly just weight lifts and such

back to the cell, stretches and another 500

before lights out 500

and yes, i tore my muscles to shreds

but all the sleep and resting we get in the cell = quick recoveries

so everyone can do 100 pushups no problem??

i dont even do pushups and yeah i can do 100.

im hella winded afterwards, but if i did em everyday for about 2 weeks it would be no problem.

i say this all the time, but pushups are a waste of time if you're trying to add muscle mass. the only thing it will make you do is be better at doing pushups. if you want to add muscle mass to your chest you need to do variations of bench presses and chest dips.

its like saying jogging is gonna help get you get some big ass quads. no. get your ass in the gym and do some squats.

If you werent doing lifting in the yard how do you feel your strength gains would have been just doin the floor excercises?

I can't do 100, and I'm pretty athletic. Most of yall dudes are fronting.
I can do 50. I don't really do push ups anymore anyways, I do dumbbell benches for chest strength.

they probaly have mad tricep action going on, if i my tri's were brolic i could probaly push out 150 or something since my chest game is on point. its my arms that always reach failure first when it comes to push ups.

they may not be lying but they may be doing their push ups wrong. they may not be dippin that low and theyre probably doin em mad quick like they do in the air force.

I think push ups are good though because they increase your endurance and they can help you define your upper body. they wont make you muscular, though. but theye good as a warm up before you work out

lying azz nikka, I doubt you could do 100 girl push ups.

100 straight PROPER push ups is not easy at all. Haven't been in the gym since September, I probably couldn't do 30 right now.

Iblis
12-10-08, 12:52 AM
i can do about 50 in a row without stoppin. 100 consecutive propper push ups is hard as fukk, i know you fools are lying and/or not doing them correctly. takes me 5 or 6 minutes to get to 100. the strongest nikka i know can do close to 70 without stopping and 100 in like 3 or 4 min. y'all must be doing them chicken head pushups.

I can only do about 70 consecutive PROPER pushups before my sh1t starts freezing up....and I'm definitely athletic.

Dudes in here doing half of an actual pushup...humping and sh1t talkin bout they can bust out 500 and sh1t...GTFOH. :thumbsdow

12-27-08, 07:10 AM
this thread is hilarious. I was in the army for a few years and most male soldiers cant do near 100 consecutive push ups.

I do think "consecutive" needs to be defined. to me consecutive doesnt mean continuous as long as the person stays in the front leaning rest position

B1ackHope
12-29-08, 12:02 AM
The most I have ever done was 55 for wrestling practice. Me and one other kid were the only people doing them right though. My arms were about to fall off, and I'm athletic and in pretty good shape. There is no way that so many people in this thread can do 100 correct-form push-ups.

Super Cheech

i can do about 50 :(
