I've been reading a lot of pieces from books , interviews w/Producers and videos learning more about the business and some do's and donts of it. Trying to learn as much as I can, when I have time to sit down and soak it up.
I've also recently bought some new monitors and cables to enhance the quality going into my equipment that needed replacing.

Step up my Computer 24" iMac, Switch to Logic 8 fully! "I see you Seige" really working on making good music overall. Mixing my tracks better and really making sure I finish my beats up from start to finish. Getting some key Vst's/AU and making good sounds.
Last, Really listen to song and find out why are they hot and what makes them hot. then, bring those elements into my beats.
I see you Joey Bags, What up!

I just stay doin me.. I always felt that no matter how good I am.. I can always be better..The compliments are good.. but I never take them to my head and believe Im the greatest nor that Im at my prime... I stay focused on making hot records.. and I keep my ear tuned away from the radio.. even at times when I feel I should listen to the radio, all I would do is copy a sound thats already out.. so I focus on new things.. new sounds, without tuning in to the sound of the mainstream..
oh yeah and went from analog to fully digital Logic 8 Pro setup..I told you bleek!!! yeah the sound is not as thick as the mpc.. but times change so you have to change with them to be successful.. I lost jobs cuz I was totally analog.. so I had to step it up.. and wit Logic you have access to ton of sounds and ability to do thinks with your sound that you can't do in analog!! soooooo...hmmm.. stepped it up to a mac from pc..

Man, I've been doing everything I can possibly do to step up. Cutting more samples, finding more sounds, MAKING my OWN new sounds, watching producer videos, reading books on sound, making connections, subscribing to various computer music magazines, playing rock band (lol), playing more of the keyboard (I want to take lessons because I'm kinda ray charles'n it up over here, playing off of memory rather than actually KNOWING the notes), practicing chords, submitting beats to various connections, and I'm about to make a move out to ATL in January so I can see if I can get anything poppin' out there. I got a homeboy who's a club promoter out there and he wants me to come out and meet some cats...that's all I'll say for now about my trip. I even recently started buying some records and I don't even own a record player yet!

yea networking is key in music. gotta get yourself known out there. link up with cats who make music just like you and work together. hook up with a local mc or local mcs. see if your area do showcases and talent shows. get out there somehow
Yeah that's my next step..gotta get my **** out there more..Networking for real

pretty much. All the progress I made this summer is gone now that I dont even have the time to complete a track...I mean I got sh!t I've done and things I've completed but they dont really move me, so I dont post them. I dont even think cats around here have ever really heard any of my tracks outside of the sample flips and some sh!T I'll post every blue moon. That might change here pretty soon.
But when I do have the time to devote to it, I've been getting my sample game back on lock and cleaning up my drum patterns and going for a more organic sound so they dont sound as cluttered. Other than that, just staying away from the mainstream viral influence.
