View Full Version : How good is Jumping rope for Cardio?

ive been doing like 30 minutes on the exercise bike and jump rope like 500 times. Is it really that beneficial at all? I know boxers f wit it but im sure they knockin that down way more than i am.

i heard jumping rope is even better than running. I do it and the results are great. I used to smoke and jumping rope seemed to clear all that ish out

i have my doubts on rather jump roping is better than running...but one thing is for sure, it's a hell of a lot more fun.

Plus, I think it depends on if you continuously jump rope....it's a hell of a cardio workout if you do it continuously and incorporate some double unders, side to side movement and little tricks with the rope with your arms.

Its very good. its the most fun to me of all things to do in the gym for cardio

jumping rope is great exercise.

jump roping is better than running..but 500 jumps :laugh: just put a time limit on it..

not necessarily that hiit excercise (though it does work well), but at that kind of speed

and when you mess up don't rest, get right back on it

been jumpin rope 3 days str8 30 mins.
increased my pushups by 20,its crazy
