leg press machines can vary widely and I would have to see if it was a full rep or just the half ass bull$hit most think is a rep. I'm strongly leaning toward the latter. Twenty one 45lb plates and two 2.5lb ones equal 950. I HIGHLY doubt dude put up that kind of weight with any kind of form.

I'm like 5' 10" 175 and can leg press about 700(max though, not straight sets) or so on a good day. Strong foundation in the legs is where it's at lol

But yeah. Keep with the squats and add in like calf raises, hamstring curls/extensions. Lots of lower body exercises you can do really. What muscle group are you wanting to focus on?

im focusing on shredding my whole body. i have to lose 25-35 pounds to fight in a lower weight class. i was to cut up all the fat and mucle in my legs and have legs like marathon runners(skinny and hard)

220. na man i just have tree trunks. my legs aint skinny. my calves are bigger than my arms. one step at a time, youll get there eventually most likely

Maybe he is telling the truth because I've seen a couple of dudes who pushed that kind of weight.

no doubt it is possible, but leg press machines vary so much in how they are angled, the mechanism to move the weight, etc.... A far more consistent way to judge is just regular squats...but i digress

point is its pointless discussin how much you leg press since every one is so different.

if you wanna brag about somethin let people know how much you full squat.

Use a vertical legpress opposed to a 45 degree legpress and watch your egos fly out the window :smoker:

We all know a real deep squat (hams to calves will be the real gauge of leg scrempf)

As far as growth, it varies by person, alot of peoples legs respond to higher reps and volume. I switch it up, sometimes as low as 4 reps or high as 20 at times.

Everyone is different so, I suggest you try different approaches. There are plenty of template/workouts online

to me that sounds like a brag. if thats not the case then so be it. everyone in the know is fully aware leg press is a cool exercise to hit the quads in a way squats cant do, but dont take them too seriously. so how much do you squat? and how low do you go?

If leg press and squat are fukkin' ya up, they're doing their jobs. Keep doing em. Don't slack off on hamstrings and calves tho.
