Editor's Note: If you're a fan of Tom Jenkinson A.K.A. Squarepusher's work over the past couple of years, you'll easily find yourself amazed and scratching your head at this album. Whereas the past releases he has done over the years focused on the soon to be revolutionary breakcore sound that would define the sounds of IDM and drum n' bass in the late nineties, the post freeform jazz of "Music is One Rotted Note" and "Budakhan Mindphone", and the total reconstruction and deconstruction of those elements on "Go Plastic" and "Do You Know Squarepusher", "Just A Souvenir" proves how far Jenkinson has come with his sound.
On this, his 12th (!!!) album, he utilizes all of those elements to create something that is nothing like the labels at the bottom of this post. It is truly a groundbreaking achievement in music on it's own without succumbing to paltry reviewer created "genres". Quite possibly his best work to date.
