I was jus listenin to some Lutan Fyah Phantom War, very good album came
out around 06...

of course some Buju Banton, i like his album Too Bad, that dancehall you already kno

check out Jah Mason "rise" and Sizzla > maybe the best lyricist out
fantastic riddim..

I don't usually like dancehall albums. I prefer the mixtapes. A good one will keep my attention far longer than even the best rap albums.

Classic roots reggae albums are a different matter entirely.

could someone drop some knowledge about reggae, i dont really know the genres, i dont really like dancehall i'd rather some bob marley..what albums should i pick up?

Some of my favorite (non-Marley) reggae albums:

The Congos - Heart of the Congos
Burning Spear - Marcus Garvey / Garvey's Ghost
Wailing Souls - Wild Suspense

For Marley--actually most of Marley's discography is really top notch:

African Herbsman
Catch a Fire
Burnin'
Kaya
Natty Dread
Exodus
Rastaman Vibration
Survival
Uprising

If I had to pick a starting point, I'd say African Herbsman if you want something hard and raw--and Exodus if you want something with more pop-like sensibilities.

good roots reggae albums to check out is albums from people like, sizzla, i-wayne, richie spice, brothers like that, bob marley of course, peter tosh aswell, the legends, but theirs too many too think of right now, i'll come through wit more later
