my memory upgrade should arrive today (256mb $12 shipped from ebay)

now i just need a hard drive!

i keep hearing i should get the JJ OS for it...but thats just more $...unless that joint is on some torrent site

any tips?

shuold i pair it with some software?
if so what audio interface do you suggest to go between my mpc and laptop?

JJ OS turns the MPC into a beast! Definitely worth it. Also, you can get a hardrive off newegg that is 120gb for $80.

The site looks ****ty but it's not shady at all. JJ is ill. You don't need a 120gb hard drive but it was cheap and i thought it would be funny to have a 120gb HD.

i honestly comprehend about 96% of music theory...except the basic measure stuff....

like 4 bars, 8 bars, 4/4, etc

i try n record n my isht be all messed up when it loops....mad blank space...

thats just the thing tho...i dont comprehend bars when i'm makin music but i slightly comprehend when listening

once i DO make a song on the MP...will i have to have it mastered so the levels arent all wacky and causing distortion?

it sounds clear now...and most the stuff i been practicing with is samples from my laptop at 192kbps

if it's too distorted go into the mixer and turn down the volume

it sounds like you need to read the manual

go thru the manual with the machine on and learn it
