To be honest, except for Bloc Party...i've never really seen what the appeal is with these groups.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems too gimmicky, flashy, and too self aware and because of it the songwriting and overall cadence of the music generally suffers.

....i'm a fan of the killers....but i can't stand fall out boy...they've always come of as way to brash to me...so i can surely dig what you're saying here

Any fan of Fall Out Boy should have their "rock fan" label revoked. As for The Killers, their new single is alright I guess. Spaceman wasn't bad either, which was the other song they performed on SNL

i liked each of their last albums. ive only heard infinity on high from fob but it was easily one of my fav. albums that yr. they make some good pop/emo-or whatever you wanna categorize them-music. i thnk people getting caught up in those 'labels' makes them weary. you can't front on their song writing or the lead singer's skills.
